There is some fruit in China that is new to us... This page is intended to share some of the unique finds.
Pomelo (柚子, yóuzǐ) - We have had these in Idaho, but they are so much better here.

Mangosteen (山竹, shānzhú) - These have a mellow citrusy orange flavor, but are sweeter too. They are more on the expensive side, but very good.
Apple pears (苹果梨, píngguǒlí) - (Asian Pears) Again, these can be found in Idaho and we even have one of these trees growing in our orchard, but here in China where they are native, they are sooo much crispier, sweeter and good.
Dragonfruit (火龙果, huǒlóngguǒ) - Dragonfruit is, once again, available in Idaho and once again, not the same. The inside is white with black seeds about the size of poppy seeds. You eat it by scooping out the insides and chopping it into cubes (at least we do). What does it taste like? Um, maybe like a kiwi, but not so acidic. The texture is a bit different too, but very edible even for picky eaters.
Mandarin Orange (柑 / 橘) - In Idaho we get these in cans. They are cute little oranges here and are abundant in every market throughout the summer. They peel easily and, the strange thing is, the green ones are the best. By the time they go orange, they are on their way out.
Persimmon (柿, shi / shì ) – I seem to remember getting these around December back home, but they are in the market here in the summer. Mostly like an apricot, they go ripe fast and are very sweet.
Durian fruit (榴莲, - Ok, to be frank, I don't know of anyone that has claimed to like this fruit, but I have also been told by a local that you have to taste it more than once before you give it up for good. It smells like an outhouse, but, I have to admit, It's on my "bucket list".
